Easy Yoga to Revitalize Energy & Calm the Mind

But life has been fast, fraying, and—let’s be honest—maybe feeling a little too much.
You may feel scattered. Tense. Uninspired. Or simply exhausted.

Maybe you’ve felt disconnected from your body or your energy – or things seems a little cranky or stuck.

Maybe the thought of returning to a yoga class – or going for the first time – feels intimidating, too fast, too hard on your joints, or too far removed from what you truly need: to feel supported, nurtured, to be met exactly where you are – while also gently challenged to go further.

You ache to move and yet want MORE than exercise, or adding another to-do to your list.

You yearn to feel renewal of your whole being. And a little laughter, beauty, and brightness too!

Perhaps you’re a little shy, get impatient with small talk, and have no time for cliques. You want to walk in and know you’re recognized for your unique shine, and part of something sweeter and bigger than any old aches and pains. This course will take you to the heart of the matter, gently, directly, deeply.

This 8-week course is a heartfelt invitation to come home to yourself, through simple yet meaningful practices, that just feel soooooo good.

Easy Yoga blends gentle, guided movement with breathing, energy awareness, brain-boosting methods, deep rest, and more to help you feel grounded, uplifted, and more wholly YOU.

Join us to optimize the health benefits and gain direct experience of the deeper serenity, and energy easy yoga practice provides. These sequences are designed to address the specific needs of the season:

You’ll strengthen your foundation and coreenhance your capacity to stay present even during intensity, work your edge while building balance, and playfully discern how to go with the flow to release tension and unnecessary resistance.

We’ll also add seasonal practices to shift from winter to spring, yogic techniques to warm and strengthen ourselves, as we get ready to be a part of the blossoming and cheer of regeneration and expansion.

Specifically, we’ll play with simple “kriyās,” cleansing actions, such as vigorous breathwork that refreshes the system, as well as the Himalayan tradition’s simple, beloved movements for joints and glands. These practices support mobile joints, steady energy, and an uplifted mood, while still leaving space for reflection and rest. We’ll play with simple kriyās—short, rhythmic movements and breathwork that refresh the system—as well as time-honored Himalayan practices for caring for the joints and glands.

Through yoga, we remember that we are a microcosm of the vast living world—that when our movements, breath, and thoughts flow in rhythm with nature’s cycles, harmony and wholeness arise on every level:

As winter begins to lessen its grip, our practice shifts toward softening what has been held too tightly, creating space for release and the gentle awakening of spring. We raise our energy and make room to unfurl into the easy yet inspiring, fluid movement to enjoy this season of renewal and hope.

Easy Yoga is designed to keep weight bearing off the knees. It is also at a slightly slower pace, so there are no quick, repetitive transitions from the floor to standing by way of the knees. Instead, we move through slower flows, and often use a chair, the wall, and other props.

You’ll still receive a full-body, integrative practice – including strengthening and stamina building – that incorporates all aspects of classical yoga, to unite and empower your body, mind, heart, breath, and spirit.

You’ll experience:

  • Building Strength AND Spaciousness;
  • Brain Yoga;
  • Tools to Re-set the Nervous System;
  • Enhancing Stability, Balance, & Coordination;
  • Increasing Abdominal Power & Awareness;
  • Embodiment Techniques to Transform tough Emotions;
  • Re-scripting Inner Dialogues,
  • Kinder inner Self Talk;
  • More Harmony with Relationships & the Outer World;
  • Tuning into Sensory Resourcing to Get Present & Feel Vital;
  • and (OF COURSE!) Deep Systematic Relaxation;
  • Quick and Easy Meditation;
  • Deeply Receiving and Leaning into Infinite Support; and
  • Profoundly Softening and Expanding into your own Wise Inner Guidance.

This integrative approach supports your ongoing healing and ignites your innermost potentials – your presence in this world matters now more than ever. Together, we’ll tend your physical health as well as your mental, emotional, energetic, and spiritual sense of connection and happiness

You’ll experience firsthand how the deeper dimensions of yoga can bring foundational transformation to all layers of your multi-dimensional self. You’ll be guided and encouraged by an experienced teacher – with over 25 years of yoga practice, 30 years of professional teaching (including university level!), and nearly 10 years of teaching yoga full time – whose dedication and highest calling is to share these teachings. I knows how to adapt practices for your specific needs and see your depth and sensitivity as sacred. This course isn’t about getting something right. It’s about savoring the depth and preciousness of life.

WHAT TO EXPECT EACH WEEK

In these sessions of Easy Yoga, you’ll start with a few moments one-on-one with your teacher to breathe, center, and connect. This is a full energy attunement, so you are ready to receive the most benefits of our time together. You contemplate what in your life you are ready to leave behind, and what you want to cultivate

Known as a “Gating Ceremony,” this personal moment helps release mental & energetic burdens, as you become more focused and better resourced to foster your best self. You’ll also gain quick insight and individualized help, guidance, and practices to release burdens and regain a sense of openness.

This is also an opportunity for a few moments to yourself in a rich environment, if you desire. Others use this time to connect with the kindred members of our vibrant community.

Then we come together as a group & shift our energy inward, as Virginia guides a visualization to open our sacred circle. This helps you attune to how you are feeling and connect to innate wisdom. This simple creation of sacred space makes the entire practice more potent and benefits more lasting(Plus, you can use this technique throughout your life in everyday settings too!)

Now richly supported, this gentle and invigorating time together then features simple yet profound movements that will enhance your well-being. Physically, it is very accessible. We will center with breathing, and warm up with chair yoga.

Then we’ll do gentle standing stretches and strengtheners and classic yoga postures, alongside SIMPLE brain stimulation exercises that are REALLY fun. These increase balance, coordination, and stimulate new neural pathways. You’ll jumpstart your system to release feelings of stagnation, and help yourself become easier on yourself and maybe even more playful!

All these sessions are slow-paced, with pauses and gentle movements to make this EASY yoga. It is a VERY accessible course physically, for many levels of capacity because it requires less up-and-down from the floor and often uses chairs. Yet you still receive a full-body reset. You’ll also be surprised by the bite-sizes morsels of yoga philosophy –

giving you profound motivation and deep remembrance of how wonderful your awakened life force is.

These sequences also ensure you gain access to the more expansive potentials of yoga that exceed the physical body: Your mind and connection to those around you are sweetened and made more harmonious.

Each session not only decreases stiffness and increases fluid motion of the muscular-skeletal system, but also includes specific conscious breathing and systematic relaxation techniques that help regulate the nervous system. (This can be done lying down or seated in a chair.)

These practices ignite healing capacities and encourage an overall sense of relief and peace. As the body becomes calmer and comfortable, a natural sense of peacefulness arises. Mental concentration improves and there is a lightness to being in one’s body that in turn, makes everyday movements easier.

You’ll also find yourself more masterfully navigating daily life, often approaching things that once bothered you with new composure and elegance.

EASY YOGA sessions conclude by introducing you to the inward experience of meditation, which allows you to tap into inner reserves of vast inspiration and well-beingIt is suggested you meditate in a chair for EASE – you don’t have to be on the floor. This is where we often go deeper than the thinking mind expects – even in a short time with simple techniques –

and achieve feelings of vast possibility and tender empowerment.

Week 1: Ground & Awaken

We begin with joints and glands to release stiffness and stagnation. This session is about arriving fully in your body, feeling safe and centered, and learning to release. It includes a one-on-one “gating ceremony” with Virginia and opening circle visualization, as will each week that follows.

Your hips and shoulders receive special focus in this session, as well as fascia release and overall mobility.

Week 2: Strength & Steadiness

The legs and pelvic region gain strength & suppleness through this week’s movements, plus spaciousness & support in the lumbar spine.

Week 3: Integrate & Release

Focus on digestion and elimination—not just physically, but emotionally. This session is about reclaiming your body’s intelligence to let go of what weighs you down and integrate what nourishes. Practices will be steady, energizing, and deeply relieving.

Session three works 4 layers of abdominal muscles as we build on the previous weeks, while also exploring how yoga benefits the viscera.

Week 4: Breath Is Medicine

Learn how your breath reflects and shapes your energy. This week explores techniques to regulate the nervous system and shift mental-emotional patterns through attentive breathwork. You’ll continue to nurture the physical body, now adding even more awareness and potentials. Expect deep calm and spacious awareness.

You’ll play with side bends and twists to open up the intercostals (space between the ribs), while also learning how to strengthen the diaphragm for optimal breathing.

Week 5: Radiance & Renewal

We turn up the volume on vitality. Using simple yet profound breathwork and flowing subtle movements, we release inner burdens and enhance life-force energy. This is where you begin to feel your energy body as real and alive, tangible and accessible. You’ll play with classic pranayama – “life force expansion” methods, the quickest way to shift the body-mind.

This session awakens the core and encourages a healthy spine, leading to guided active breathwork to clear and energize.

Week 6: Mind & Meaning

Explore the “thinking mind” with compassion. This week focuses on self-talk, mood patterns, and mental habits. In addition to our asana (yogic stretches), we’ll discover embodiment tools and neurolinguistic-style re-patterning to soften and re-script the stories we carry.

You’ll play with easy vinyasa (flowing movements) and long holds for strength training, so the invigorated body better supports a clear mind.

Week 7: The Inner Compass

Tap into intuitive knowing and inner guidance. Your inner and outer body awareness continue to grow, as we return to postures, long holds, and flows. This session also introduces tapping and other tools to reframe obstacles and sense the deeper truth beneath habits of thought. Expect powerful insights and methods you’ll want to continue to use long after this course.

This week continues with yoga flows, including more brain yoga plus methods to improve interoception (feeling inside the body) and proprioception (locating the body in space).

With gentle movement, breath, gratitude, and meditation, we gather the threads of our experience. This final culminating class helps you access the quiet, radiant joy within and reminds you how to stay connected to your sacred center and depth of knowing, even throughout your often full everyday life. You’ll emerge imbued with inner and outer steadiness and a lasting yogic glow.

Gathering and celebrating the journey thus far, this session helps you retain embodied memory of your practice, so the physical strength and vitality you’ve cultivated continue to nurture the blossoming of your innermost potential and joyful ease.

Each week builds on the last—but you’ll feel better after the very first class. You can also take single sessions if that works best for you.

You are lovingly guided start to finish—no prior yoga experience is needed. It’s a choice you’ll be so very glad you made, and feel proud of what you accomplish with ease.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

Easy Yoga is made for people like you—deep feelers, thoughtful thinkers, and sensitive souls who want to reconnect with their bodies and minds without pushing, striving, or performing.
