Yoga At The Brewery

LAST CHANCE!

For the month of JUNE, YOGA at the BREWERY continues!  We will not meet July & August, so join us while you can.

Ready to feel great?  Tomorrow, Saturday, June 16, we will be focusing on hips and hamstrings, and learning a FUN and slightly unusual flowing sequence called “Earth Salutations.”  It is easy and messy and a little like playttime for grown-ups.  We’ll rocks from folding poses to hamstring stretches, to rolling supine kick backs (super easy, no worries!), and back strengtheners.  We will play with a balance pose, with lots of variations.  Postures will also include some seated postures that open hips AND shoulders, all before we hit to mat for a juicy guided relaxation.  You can RSVP here.

Come practice in the shade to beat the heat, while you increase your sense of spaciousness, easestability, & joy, then stay for the fun community in this gorgeous Lake City venue.  Join us for this accessible, fun, light-hearted ALL LEVELS YOGA class at Halpatter Brewing Company in historic downtown of Lake City, Florida.

We meet Saturdays, 11 am to noon, June 2, 9, 16, 23, & 30.  We’ll enjoy our yoga in the lower taproom.  You can find Halpatter Brewing Company at 264 NE Hernando Ave, Lake City, FL 32055.

The Early Bird Dedicated Student Rate has now passed.  After June 2, class is $12 for drop-ins, cash or check (to “Virginia Hill”) only (Only in dire circumstances are credit/debit payments allowed for drop-ins for the increased tuition of $14).

Bring a YOGA MAT and TWO BEACH TOWELS (or 2 blankets).

Be sure to ARRIVE 5 to 10 minutes EARLY to complete your registration & waiver, sign-in, and settle into your spot so we get our full hour of luscious yoga in!

Each session will include classic Yoga Asanas (poses), done at a gentle pace.  We will do some strength-building isometric holds, as well as simple vinyasa flows–“Vinyasa” means “precise placement” and refers in this context to the flowing nature of the sequence, as students move from one pose to the next, coordinated with the breath.  Each week will be a different sequence, and will include practices & postures such as Virabhadrasana (Warrior Poses), Lunges (high & low), Twists, Utkatasana (Chair/Fierce Pose), Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations), Chakravakasana variations (a simple warm-up moving sequence), Back Bends (like Bhujagasana/Cobra, Sphinx & more), Balance postures such as Chapasana (Sugarcane Pose) & Vrksasana (Tree Pose), Agni Sara (Fire Essence, working the abdominals), Adho Mukha Svanasana + Variations (Downward Facing Dog), Navasana sequences (Boat Poses), shoulder & hip openers (such as Gomukasana/Cow-face Pose & Eka Pada Kapotasana/One-Legged Pigeon Pose), exercises for Serratus Anterior, & more.

AND IF YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THOSE THINGS LISTED ABOVE ARE, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!  No worries:  Everything is cued and demonstrated, and modifications and variations provided.  You don’t have to be able to touch your toes or be flexible; you DO need to be able to get up and down from the floor with relative ease and without assistance.  Come learn in a laid back AND safe environment.

Each session will also include warm-ups as well as meditation tips and a brief guided systematic relaxation—which is where you will find the truest, most beneficial nectar of yoga!

All levels are welcome, whether total beginners or experienced practitioners.  Everyone is also encouraged to stay afterwards for community hang-out time at the Brewery!  The first month was a huge success, and I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful people that attended and shared time together even after class.  There are also fun events hosted at Halpatter, with quite a few on Saturdays after our class concludes.  So come experience for yourself the open-hearted & positive community unfolding.

Want to make sure you do not miss any yoga and meditation news in the future?

Certainly!

Then sign up for my community newsletter here, and be the first to hear about events, special rate, and tips to deepen your yoga and meditation practice.

My highest intention is you come for the yoga, and stay for the community, as we savor the glow of our practice together at Halpatter Brewing Company.

I am elated to be collaborating with Halpatter and sharing this uplifting class.  Come join this upbeat hour to put a little more ease and joy into your body-mind and leave feeling ready to shine throughout your week. Still wondering if this is the Saturday choice for you?  Then contact me, Virginia Hill,  your AHA Yoga teacher, with any questions.

Arrive early so you are ready to go at 11 am.

See you SATURDAY at Halpatter Brewing Company, throughout JUNE, woot, woot!
